Each person born into this world has the right to experience a life full of joy with infinite potential and an ability to create an empowered life. A life of freedom and opportunities for all people regardless of race, sex, age and personal history, it is each persons right to create and experience an empowered life.
The Empowered Being Foundation is here to offer workshops and ongoing support to underprivileged people, giving them the tools and resources to break through their current life circumstances and create for themselves an empowered life full of infinite potential.
The Foundation aims to provide healing of the mind, body and spirit to less privileged people around the world and deliver to them the tools and support enabling them to rewrite old disempowering beliefs and perceptions into empowering ones that can be used to create a life full of opportunity.
Partnering with organizations such as Peace Direct we are aiming to deliver these valuable tools to individuals such as refugees, orphans & child soldiers.
In the DR of Congo children are still being abducted and forced to become soldiers as early as 5 or 6 years old. Our aim is to help these children begin their lives again by providing healing of the mind, body and spirit and delivering the tools to rewrite their limited beliefs.
The foundation is also in talks to partnering with companies such as Kiva which provide micro loans to give underprivileged people the jump start to starting their own business ventures.
The foundation’s aim is to empower people, release them from their limiting beliefs and guide them to creating the means to support themselves and their families and to share their knowledge of empowerment from an experiential perspective to their communities.
Negotiations are under way to teach the first of these workshops in the summer of 2012.

Over five million people have died in DR Congo since 1998. Communities have been torn apart as neighbor turns on neighbor, law and order disintegrates and development grinds to a halt. Boys as young as seven are abducted in rebel militias, their mothers and sisters raped, their fathers murdered. The tragedy seems overwhelming – but local peace builder Henri Ladyi is dedicated to making peace last.
“I grew up in war and like many boys from my community I thought about joining the local militia to protect my family”. – Henri Ladyi
Henri Ladyi understands the pressures that the local community are under, because he has been there with them every day of this terrifying war, but ten years ago he came to a crossroads, and chose peace over violence.
Henri is now director of local organisation Céntre Resolution Conflicts (CRC). Twice he has been abducted and tortured by militia, with sticks forced between his fingernails. The last time he fled for his life with his wife and child, walking for three days through dank jungle, in fear of the threat of brutal militia at every moment. He is now more determined than ever.
The CRC has been working right through the war, mediating in violent flash points, building relationships between the UN and militias and training people from different tribes to live together peacefully, to prevent violence, unite communities and save lives.
In the past year Henri has rescued 650 child soldiers – 400 have since been reunited with their families, the others are being cared for by foster families. 175 children under ten have returned to school, and those older have been trained in skills they can use to support themselves. These are the true stories of the children growing up in one of the most dangerous places on earth.
Henri budgets just £21 to give each child he liberates the skills to start a fresh. For some this is enough to buy some animals to rear for milk and eggs, for others it the basic training to be a mechanic, a hairdresser or a baker.
